Excuse me for not posting in German, my German is very bad I only learned for 3 months.... You can answer in both English and German!

I am going to order some tools from Böhm and I have a couple of questions.

The spring punching pliers - the punch doesn't look small enough in the picture so I am not sure how it really works?!

I can order only one of the swedging pliers. Which size would be best for the first swedging pliers if I repair a lot of clarinets and also saxophones?

Hello Nitai,

if you order Tools from Böhm be asured that they will work. There Tools are the best that one can get. I use them myself and had no Problems ever.

For the Swedging pliers...I use size 4.5mm for Saxophones...for Clarinets you need Size 3,5 or 3.

You might get along if you buy one in size 4mm for both purposes...you might..

the tools from Boehm are really good, but they are very expensive. If you are skillfull you can make the most pliers on your own.

@Mario: The swedging pliers for clarinet and saxophon in 4mm? The diameter of clarinet mechanics are 3.5mm. Also the 3.5mm plier is too small to work with this mechanics.
Maybe you should measure an mechanic of a clarinet.
Also for saxophon mechanics you can use swedging pleirs in smaler diameter.

Yesterday I ordered some tools from Böhm. Actually, making the pliers myself will be even more expensive than buying from Böhm because where I live it is very difficult and expensive to find materials and equipment to make tools myself.

I didn't order swedging pliers yet. I would like to know if I order only one swedging plier - what is the best size for clarinet?

Are their tube mills for shortening hinge tubes? Would you recommend the ones with handle (I will use by hand)? What is the most useful size for clarinet?

What is the most useful size of pivot screw countersink for clarinets? What is the most useful size for alto saxophones?
